Theo is a huge fan of Elvis Costello. When he heard of the impending publication of his memoir, he approached Penguin with an idea to promote it on Instagram highlighting the book’s extraordinary cast of characters. Elvis Costello loved the idea and gave the go-ahead. Theo recruited British animation legend Chris Shepherd and settled on a style inspired by the ‘Get Happy’ album cover. Caricatures were created by James Husbands. Designed to take advantage of Instagram’s video looping, the soundtrack is a bespoke edit of the introduction to Costello’s iconic ‘Pump It Up’.
